Is Your Advertising Working?

How can you tell if your online advertising is working? Use tracking URLs!

When you place an ad in an ezine, or place a link on a non-competing site, instead of using your standard link (http://www.yorusite.com) use a tracking url like this:

http://yoursite.com/index.html?ad1

Just specify a code after the "?" that you will recognize when you view your stats.

To see the results of your new tracking urls:

• Login to your control panel
• Click Site Statistics
• Click Referrers
• Click on your domain name url
• Look for source= xxxx (in our example you'd look for references to
  www.yoursite.com/index.html source=ad1
