How can I tell if the domain name I want is available?
Simple! Just do a whois search. You'll know immediately if the domain name you want is available. And if the name you want is already taken, you can either search for an alternate .tld (.com, .net, org) or use the Domain Name Wizard to help you come up with another name using keywords that you enter.

Is registering my new domain name through this site any different  than registering it through Network Solutions?
No, just the price is different. You will still maintain all rights to your domain name providing that you maintain the registration fees. 

Do I have to set up a hosting account with you in order to register a new domain name?
No. You may register a domain name at $14.95/year for 1 to 10 years without having a web hosting account. You get discounts for registering or renewing for more than one year at a time.

Who is ICANN?
ICANN is the organization responsible for maintaining domain name registration records and dispute policies and laws governing domain name registrations.

Transfers

My domain name is registered through a different registrar and it is almost time for me to renew my registration.  Is there any way that I can transfer it to you to pay the lower fees?
Yes!  We can put through a transfer for you.  The transfer costs $25 and will EXTEND the length of your registration by one year.  Click here for domain transfers. Transfers can take some time, so be sure to transfer at least a month before the expiration date, just to be safe.

Renewals

What happens when it comes time to renew?
You will be invoiced on the anniversary date of your domain registration, and charged our standard registration fee of $14.95/year to renew or less if you renew for multiple years. There are no other service charges or InterNIC fees to pay.

My domain expires in June. If I renew in May, am I shortchanging my registraton period?
No. If your expiration date is in June, you are registered through June. If you renew for one year anytime before June, your expiration date will be extended one year from the expiraton date. You will not lose out by renewing early. Click here to renew your domain name.

Changes

What if I move to another hosting provider?
All that's required to switch hosting providers is a change of nameserver information.  You can easily modify your domain record by using our online modification form.

What if My Contact Information Changes?
You should always keep your domain contact information current. There are three contacts listed on every domain: Adminstrative, Billing, and Technical contact. If any of these contacts change, just use our domain modification form.
