Hosting Connecticut, LLC is a Windsor-based website development company, founded on January 1, 2003. It is certified as a Woman Owned Small/Minority Business Enterprise (SMBE) by the state of Connecticut.
Hosting Connecticut is a knowledgeable trustworthy company to which small business owners and non-profit organizations can turn to grow their business online and to address their questions and concerns with helpful information that the layperson can easily understand. There's no intimidation or techno-babble that can plague people who use other tech companies. Here, there is just clear communication and genuine assistance.
Owner Paula M. Pierce's goal is to run an ethical business. Often considered an oxymoron, ethics in business are a top priority to Pierce.
Pierce is an ardent supporter of her community and local business. She serves on the Board of Directors of the Windsor Chamber of Commerce and was an integral part of the Windsor Education Foundation for 8 years. She has been honored with awards from the Small Business Administration and the Windsor Chamber of Commerce for supporting business and the people who run them.
Online marketing can seem daunting at first, but it can be easily implemented. There's a learning process for those that are only familiar with traditional offline marketing, but the two methods work very effectively together.
Founders, Paula M. Pierce and Patricia Sullivan launched Hosting Connecticut to offer small business people a one-stop shop for online business. The official launch date was January 1, 2003.
Hosting Connecticut offers tutorials for website skills like html, website planning and marketing. Soon after launching, Hosting Connecticut enhanced its initial offering to provide online social marketing services, website evaluation and search engine optimization.
The website design side of the business was growing daily. Due to a flood of new business, Hosting Connecticut acquired two additional web site designers. We never want our clients to lack the support they need. Many businesses have horror stories about their designer or their host never calling them back or putting them off when they need help. We always make time for our clients and will add additional resources as necessary to make sure their needs are met.
In 2005, Sullivan decided to move on and sold her half of the business, making Pierce the sole owner of the HostingCT. In 2007 Hosting Connecticut strategically increased its client base and revenues steadily increased.
With the economic downturn in 2008, Pierce revitalized her personal networking activities through her local Chambers of Commerce and continues to build rapport with regional business people and assist others in marketing their businesses. An expansion in the design side of the business and a continued focus on personal customer support ensured additional growth. To this day, the business continues to grow substantially, new experts are brought on board as needed, and new services offered in programming and search engine marketing.
PS - Paula is also a frugal shopper and uses Ebates all the time to get cash back on her online purchases. :)
